J'en profite également pour faire le suivre ici le message du président de Liberty à propos de la transition vers Kantara (voir plus loin dans le mail). La question que l'on doit se poser est : met-on en place la transition de ce groupe vers Kantara ou bien laissons le s'éteindre doucement étant donné son activité jusqu'à aujourd'hui ? Je suis pour son transfert vers Kantara même si le groupe est aujourd'hui peu actif, ce serait un nouveau souffle d'autant plus que cela nous permettrait d'intégrer les collègues de Microsoft pour étudier plus avant l'intégration d'InfoCard avec les specs de Liberty et son impact pour la communauté francophone (la fondation Infocard est membre de Kantara au même titre que LA ainsi que Concordia, ISOC, XDI, DataPortability sous la forme d'un programme de l'IEEE-ISTO). Si OpenID n'est pas pour le moment présent directment, la présence de XDI.org ainsi que de DataPortability.org est déjà une forme de présence informelle. The overall response has been very positive, with most people acknowledging that this is ?much needed,? the ?right timing,? and that they are eager to work together with the Identity community to make this a success. Russ DeVeau has also done a great job in orchestrating his PR magic to ensure the highest possible visibility for Kantara Initiative with just the right messaging. He has really helped to bring the community together and ensure the widest possible participation by all related parties. But, Liberty Members need to do our part as well. While Liberty has negotiated reciprocal dues credit with Kantara, your membership in Kantara Initiative is not final until you actually sign and return the Kantara Intiative Member Agreement to Brett McDowell.
