Subject: [SIG-IDtheft] Identity Theft SIG has become the Kantara Consumer
 Identity Work Group

As you may know, the work of the Liberty Alliance is migrating to the 
Kantara Initiative <http://kantarainitiative.org/>.

The Identity Theft SIG is making the migration as well, as the Kantara 
Consumer Identity Work Group 
<http://kantarainitiative.org/confluence/display/WGCI/Home>.

If you're interested, you can join the Consumer Identity Work Group as a 
participant (which would allow you to post to the mailing list and 
contribute to the WG's output), or you could just sign-up for the 
mailing list as an observer.  More details on that below.

On the WG's home page

find many valuable details including links to:

    * the WG's charter
    * the WG's mail list and archive
    * the designated IPR Policy option for the WG
    * a "JOIN THIS GROUP" button.

If you'd like to join, and participate in, the Consumer Identity WG you 
will need to complete the following 3 steps:

   1. *Execute* the Group Participation Agreement on the Consumer
      Identity WG home page

   2. *Subscribe* to the mail list via the 'subscribe' link on the WG

   3. If you don't already have one, establish a new Kantara user
      account by clicking on "Log In" in the upper right hand corner of
      the Kantara Dashboard
      (http://kantarainitiative.org/confluence/dashboard.action) and
      registering with one of the Identity Providers listed.

If you only want to subscribe to the mailing list without joining or 
participating in the group, only do Step (2) above.
