Subject: [Sig-norway] Rechartering SIG Norway

The Liberty Alliance is restructuring its organization, and in relation 
with that work (codenamed NewOrg) we have received a question to this group:

there is an opportunity for the Norway SIG to re-charter as a Work or 
Discussion Group of the NewOrg (upon launch).

This opportunity would give the SIG more abilities and raise the status 
of the SIG to what would be an equivalent level of a Liberty Expert 
Group today.  Under NewOrg the Norway Work Group could: hold meetings, 
discuss issues, and even publish works.  Should the group choose to 
publish there are a number of IPR models you may choose from.  We are 
not asking the group to re-charter today, but rather consider and come 
to conclusion on the decision to do so when the NewOrg launches.  The 
Liberty MB has requested each EG and SIG to consider this opportunity 
and reach understanding prior to our Liberty F2F in Santa Clara (Feb 
24-26).

Are there any objections to the proposal to re-charter the group as a 
Work or Discussion Group of the NewOrg?  Please feel free to send back
