I hope to get an update on that soon and will propose a new call schedule from next week. I'm planning to post a write up tomorrow of the Personal Data Store discussion from the VRM event and use that as to re-start the VPI dialogue. From iain.henderson at mydex.org Tue Jun 23 10:28:14 2009 From: iain.henderson at mydex.org (Iain Henderson) Date: Tue, 23 Jun 2009 18:28:14 +0100 Subject: [Sig-vpi] User Driven and Volunteered Personal Information Working (Technology) Group Up and Running Message-ID: <4821C577-5D99-484B-A674-3497E7158307@mydex.org> Folks, our Kantara working group aimed at specifying open standards for some key VRM components is now up and running. The group home page and charter can be found here. If you want to sign up to get involved then you can do so here (select User Driven Volunteered Personal Information Tech). There is an intellectual property rights agreement to sign during the process that allows us to ensure what we specify is open and unencumbered. The mailing list subscription can be found here; you can sign up to this to keep up to speed with what the group is doing. Those of you already on the VPI-SIG mailing list will need to re- subscribe to the new group and the associated mailing list. I'll be working on the wiki this week to move over the material from the prior SIG, and i'll look to run the first call next week - i'll e- mail the new Kantara mail list with the details of that call. Meantime, i've written a blog post that summarises the personal data eco-system; this offers the background and a potential framework for our work. Any questions on the group/ charter/ practicalities then please e-mail me.
